“The Curious Case of Benjamin Button”

Standard

Our first unit in 1º Bachiller has been   “AGE” and, once we have finished it in the textbook, and in order to help us think about all these topics, we have watched the film “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button “. In this film, Benjamin is a man who is born as an old man and , as time goes by, becomes younger and younger.

Do you think that this story is tragic, funny or both ?

Which is your favourite character in the film and why ?

What does the story reveal about the concept of beauty ?

Is the attitude of our society towards age and aging the same to the one in the film ?

By the twenty-fifth of September, the red maples are generally beginning to be ripe (=madurar ). Some large ones have been conspicuously  (=de manera notoria) changing for a week, and some single trees are now very brilliant. Read the rest of this entry
